Our Story.
The first time clipping into skinny skis was an awful, sweaty, embarrassing day. Kevin struggled to keep his skis on the snow, and Jenn cried. But it was love at first glide and the start of something beautiful. A 12+ year wintertime obsession: uncovering the secrets of Nordic skiing and becoming part of the vibrant community that celebrates a good V1 and perfect kick-wax.
As the seasons progressed, we saw ourselves in every nordie who chose the wrong wax, spent hours in the garage buffing bases or trimming poles. Over time, this sport inspired us to be brave, to honor the glide. Now, we encourage you to cheer for your inner nordie, and be proud of quivers filled with more skinny skis than powder floaters. That a human-powered, challenging-to-learn and even harder-to-master sport can be snappy and lively and fun and daring. We might be skiing beneath the runs and bumps - but it will never be less-than.
A true-blue love of our special sport motivated us to develop a line of goods that celebrates our little corner of the skiing world. We're only a few seasons in, but your love of NORDJÖRK is an important win for those of us pulling and pushing and breaking the old standard. To bring something new and bright and spirited into the Nordic skiing landscape.
